Jayme is a Registered Massage Therapist and just recently graduated in Acupuncture and TCM. She has been an RMT for 5 years and always strives to fit her client’s needs. With a background in Massage Therapy, Cupping therapy, Rapid Neurofacial Release, Guasha, Fire cupping and Cosmetic Acupuncture, Jayme brings a unique perspective to her practice for treating acute and chronic pain. She is dedicated to helping her clients improve their physical and mental well-being. She is still currently working out of her own business in Shelburne but will be offering times for Tuesday and Wednesday here at 902 Athletics. Traditional Chinese Medicine explains Acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy, blood or body fluids also known as Qi, is believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance. A lot of Jayme’s treatments are treated with Chinese terminology but in contrast, many Western practitioners view the acupuncture points as places to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue, this stimulation can boost your body’s natural painkillers and healing process. As a practitioner in her first year of acupuncture with all new patients the most common is just looking for relief of pain, we try and figure out a pattern or the nature of that pain, and treat the injuries with acupuncture, massage, cupping or guasha until the pains resolved.
